How can a GrabFood merchant qualify for the program?

5-Star Eats represent merchants who consistently deliver reliable service, quality food, and positive customer experiences. Merchants who qualify for the program are evaluated at a brand level, based on key operational and customer experience standards, including:

• Lifetime ratings of 4.5 stars or higher

• A rating count of 100 or more

• A Store Completion Score of 85% or higher across all branches over the last 90 days

• 0 safety incidents across at least 95% of the brand's branches over the last 90 days

Achieving 5-Star Eats status highlights a merchant’s dedication to quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction.

New! 5-Star Eats Probationary Tier

In our recent program review, we introduced a new Probationary Tier to give merchants who are close to meeting the full 5-Star Eats criteria an opportunity to improve their performance and unlock their potential to become official 5-Star Eats merchants.

Cycle 2 Duration: July 13 to August 31, 2026

At the end of Cycle 2, on September 1, 2026, your performance will be reviewed against the following criteria:

• Lifetime ratings of 4.5 stars or higher

• A rating count of at least 80 ratings

• A Store Completion Score of at least 70% or higher across all branches over the last 90 days

• 0 safety incidents across at least 95% of the brand's branches over the last 90 days

Based on the review results, each brand will either graduate to 5-Star status, remain in the Probationary TIer,  or exit the Probationary Tier. If a brand exits the Probationary Tier, it will still be eligible to qualify in future 5-Star Eats program cycles.

This process ensures the program continues to reflect our customers' evolving expectations while maintaining the highest standards of quality across our merchant community.

5-Star Eats Exclusive Perks ⭐

As part of GrabFood 5-Star Eats, merchants gain access to exclusive opportunities designed to help support sustained business growth and strengthen their visibility on the platform.

This includes:

⭐ An exclusive 5-Star Eats badge displayed on your store in the Grab app

⭐ Increased visibility on the Grab app, supported by nationwide marketing campaigns

⭐ In-store point-of-sale and marketing materials for outlets

⭐ Membership in the exclusive 5-Star Eats Community for shared learning and interaction, and dedicated assistance from Grab representatives

⭐ Priority access to special member perks, including Grab deals, solutions, campaigns, and brand partnerships

⭐ Exclusive invitations to GrabFood Zone activations in select cities

⭐ 0% MDR for the first 30 days of In-Store Solutions+ activation

However, each GrabFood merchant who is in the Probationary Tier will ONLY receive the following perks which will go live on July 9, 2026.
